In 2021, the number of deaths from HIV-related causes was around 650 000 and the number of new HIV infections was about 1.5 million. Although HIV infection is no cure, with the improvement of HIV prevention awareness and the assessment of the effective diagnosis, and treatment, HIV infection becomes manageable.
